This letter is brought to you by my friends at Blue Lagoon Skincare.
Welcome to the weekend y’all!
I’m planning on having a super nice self-care weekend and wanted to share with you my nighttime routine and how I wind down. I had a great night out last week for my friend's birthday at The Chateau, where I got to try a Princess Cake for the first time, and WOW! I am forever changed. How did I go this long without!?

One of the first rules of modeling is that you must take off your makeup at night and do your skincare routine. I’ve been looking for more clean, non-toxic skincare, and that’s when I discovered Blue Lagoon - a sustainable line based on the healing waters of Iceland’s Blue Lagoon! The geothermal seawater contains micro-algae and silica, which are proven to promote collagen and the skin barrier. Love that! So many friends of mine have visited the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, and they rave about their skin afterwards. I’m dying to check it out myself!
When I get home from a night out, I have my nightly rituals to wind down. So, as the kids say, Get Unready With Me!
Step 1: PJ’s
When I walk in the door, it’s time for PJ’s immediately! I love sleeping in cute pajamas... Makes me feel fresh and cozy, and hopefully, waking up feeling the same! My favorite pairs are from Petite Plume (worn below) and J.Crew.

Step 2: Skincare
I love using a gentle face wash like the Blue Lagoon Foaming Cleanser to remove all traces of makeup and sunscreen of the day. Next, I’ll take 10 minutes to do a mask. I have dry/sensitive skin, so a hydrating and moisturizing mask like Blue Lagoon Mineral Mask is great. It feels really silky going on. After rinsing, I’ll do the BL+ Eye Serum roller, which feels sooo good and relaxing, followed by the BL+ Eye Cream, which melts right in. Next up is the BL+ The Serum for more hydration and to promote collagen. You can also do a lil face massage/gua sha at this point. I like to finish up with a nice slathering of BL+ The Cream. Always remember to apply your skincare to your neck and chest!
Step 3: Beverages + Supplements
I am a big tea girlie, so I love to have a cup of something soothing like chamomile, peppermint or the CCF tea from Surya while winding down. I would sip on this while doing my face mask. I also take most of my supplements at night because they can upset my stomach. I wash those down with a glass of magnesium to help promote a restful night! And of course, put a glass of water at my bedside.
Step 4: Unplug (ish)
I luckily broke the habit of sleeping next to my phone a long time ago. I charge it in the living room and set my alarm for 730. I typically wake up earlier than that, but just in case! I also changed my alarm to the ‘storytime’ option on my phone and actually love it! I’ve been advised to keep a pen and paper next to my bed to write down anything on my to-do list that is keeping me up at night. I was also told that whenever it feels like your mind is racing and you can’t fall asleep, picture the back of your brain. It will basically shut off the thoughts! It really works! I have to admit that I love watching shows in bed on my laptop. 5 mins of British Baking Show puts me right to sleep!
Step 5: Good night!
My final step is hugs and kisses to my husband and dog Roma, who takes up the entire bed! After we are all tucked in, it’s just sweet dreams of future travels and bathing in the Blue Lagoon! 💙
What are your nighttime routines? I’m always trying to improve my sleep quality! My friend
