When in Rome
Where to eat, drink, stay and shop in the Eternal City.
Ciao! We’ve just returned from a truly wonderful trip to everyone’s favorite place… Italy! Rome is a special place to my husband and me - we got engaged there, our dog is named Roma, my husband is an Italian citizen, and we have a fantasy of living there one day. Until then, we go every chance we get. TBH, we don’t do a lot of the classic site seeing or have much of an agenda besides eating a lot, having a few negronis, and walking around and exploring. We try to pretend we live there. Oh and it’s also #hotcaravaggiosummer, did you hear? Live out your Ripley fantasy and try to see as many Caravaggios as you can. Below is my non-exhaustive and non-exhausting guide of where to eat, drink, stay and shop when in Rome. These are my personal favorite places that we’ve found along the way or have been recommended by locals. Including the best pizza I’ve ever had, a gorgeous museum with no lines, the dreamiest hotel and my favorite clothing store in the world.
