Summer Bucket List
more fun, less pressure + my obsessions of the week
Happy Summer Solstice!
What a week! The Knicks won in 5, Love Island UK is poppin’, the World Cup is on, my husband and I celebrated 5 years married, and now it’s officially Summer… Well technically tomorrow, but I can’t wait any longer! I saw something recently that said on average, we have about 80 summers in our lifetime. I hope that doesn’t stress anyone out, but rather inspires you to really make the most of them! These months can fly by sooo fast and all of a sudden, it’s back to school/work/whatever! Since having my daughter, I have to be more intentional with my time and plans. Gone are the days of traipsing around Europe on an open ended ticket! And honestly, I’m ok with that. My idea of a great summer holiday is spending time at my family’s lake house in Minnesota and going to see friends and family in the Hamptons. So that’s our plan! Very wholesome and travel efficient for the little one. I firmly believe that having things to look forward to on the calendar truly makes me happier, so I wanted to make a little list of things I’d love to do this summer. No stress if I don’t get to all of them! Just gets my ideas sparking for things to do just for the enjoyment of it. Sharing my bucket list below… Let me know what’s on your list! I want to see what fun ideas you have!
Make Sport Tea: for the unfamiliar, this is an un-caffeinated iced tea that is so refreshing and delicious. Truly the taste of summer! Going to keep a pitcher in the fridge.
Throw a World Cup party with micheladas and tacos! How have I never had a michelada party before?! One of my all-time favorite drinks.
Go to a variety of different farmer’s markets! I love our lil Venice one, but I wanna try more things! I’m planning on eating as many Weiser melons and cherries as possible while in season! I’m in a big fruit phase and not mad at it.
Bring the baby to the beach. I can’t wait to get her in the sand and put her toes in the water. Core memories incoming!
See a show at The Hollywood Bowl. Peak LA summer right there! I feel like going to one of the LA Philharmonic shows would be super chill and special. And be sure to order some Lorenza when you’re at the bowl!
Play tennis! My favorite past time! I want to get back to my pre-pregnancy level. Hopefully playing at least once a week is in my future. Do you wanna be a Tennis Girlie? Read this!
Go to the US Open. I haven’t been in a few years and would love to be able to see my favorite players IRL.
Shoot more film. I used to shoot tons of film on my Contax T2 but in the past few years I kind of fell off of it. There’s a new film lab near my place so I’m feeling inspired to actually get some pics developed! Plus it’s so special to have these tangible photos of our daughter.
Raspberry cream pie. There’s a pie at Briermere Farms on the North Fork of Long Island that haunts my dreams. Does anyone have rec’s for something similar in LA? My mouth is wateringgggg.
Al Fresco as much as possible. I’m talking breakfast, tea, lunch, emails, dinner, anything! Move my life outside! Fun fact, my mom sleeps outside most of the summer on a day bed in her backyard in Napa. How chic is that?!
Read a book! Ok, slightly embarrassed to admit that I’m not the biggest book reader. Sorry! I do love books about food or restaurants or memoirs though. As a tennis fan, one on my list for the summer is Andre Agassi’s Open!
Night of the Vongole! A few years back, I hosted a dinner party and served vongole and it became a little bit legendary in our friend group. Vongole is such a fun summer pasta and I need to run it back! Here’s the recipe I use.
Play backgammon and cards. I loooove a lil game during apéro. Feels like going back to a simpler time, hands full of cards and dice, not phones! My family plays competitive solitaire which is way more cutthroat than one would imagine.
Ok, this week I have way too many obsessions, so here they all are!!
I popped into Christy Dawn this week to try on their summer collection and it is all SO cute IRL! We made this lolz video where I style some of my favorite pieces. The Antara and the Lynn dress are winners for me!

Had a lovely time catching up with my friends over manis with Celisse and got a sneak peak of some new shades. I’m wearing the red and am a week in with ZERO chips. Actually incredible. Use MICHELE15 for a lil discount! While I was there got to browse the Claudent pop up, a really chic UPF brand that I’m now obsessed with! Took home some lil pink shorts that I’m going to wear with this perfect red tshirt.
Roz Canyon Wave spray: I’ve been using this for the past month and it’s incredddd. Gives so much beachy volume with zero crunch. Makes the perfect summer hair. My mom and I even made a lil vid for it!
Tomete linens: these are stunning and I need them for “Night of the Vongole” along with Lazy Jamie’s new serving set.
This hat is my new personality! Janessa Leone knocked it out of the park with her collab with Dr. Diamond. Kinda random collab, but who cares when the result is this good!!! You can flip the top up too for a super cute gardening vibe. Already getting nonstop compliments.
Cute packing cubes from Monos x Ref! I’m firmly on team packing cube. These are actually super sweet and compress as well! I need some new ones for the summer to try to be organized with the baby.
Yolu Headspa! Ok so I finally went to a Japanese headspa and it was incredible. Super nice relaxing head and neck massage followed by a real good scalp scrub and this amazing waterfall rinsing. Then they gave me a gorgeous blow out, a cup of tea and a cookie! 10/10 experience. Will be returning!
Diamond studs: I’ve actually never worn a diamond stud before. They’re so classic but also feel really fresh right now! I’m into it for summer. Obv love Dorsey’s version giving major bang for your buck. P.S. Their new enamel collection is out! run don’t walk!
The graphic T is BACK with a vengeance and I am here for it!! While known for their denim, Mother makes some of my faaaavorite T’s. Whoever is in their T shirt design department deserves a raise! A bunch of really good ones are on sale right now, like this one! Basically the motto of my sports summer. Also love this cafe racer one.
I have recommitted myself to drinking magnesium nightly and am loving it. I’m partial to the Moon Juice one. It tastes good to me, not too sweet and its hot pink!! Plus they make these perfect lil packets that you can use while traveling. Most women are deficient in magnesium and it helps you sleep, muscle soreness, regularity and stress!
Your obsession: Last weeks’ most clicked link was the Gia dress! A modern classic in the print of the summer… zebra! Perf for a celebration dinner or fun wedding!
Thanks so much for being here! Hope you have a wonderful weekend being outside, eating some good food, celebrating the dads in your life. Appreciate you reading Amuse Bouche. Give it a heart if you heart it! <3

Ok the Briermere Farms pie is NEXT LEVEL. The peach cream in August can’t be beat. We need to find an LA version asap!!!! Say hi when you’re in Long Island, we’re here all summer!
A vongole on the patio on a summer night is ideal!! Can’t wait to try the recipe you use
