Hiiii!
Coming to you today with some highlights from our trip to NY/Amagansett. Given my current state (6 months pregnant) I wasn’t really in the mood for a big trip this summer. A lil swing up to NY to see our friends post Palm Heights was just the ticket! Here I’ll share a little recap of our stay including some of my favorite spots to eat, shop and stay! Plus everything I packed!
I know there’s a lotttt of noise about the Hamptons right now… Too crowded, too expensive, too played. While those things may be true, I had the most delightful time. Like anywhere, it’s about how you do it and who you’re with. To me, the best part of the Hamptons is staying in a beautiful house, cooking delicious meals with local produce, chill days by the beach or pool, maybe a lil tennis and that’s about it! It’s good to be strategic about going out for dinner or driving from one end of Long Island to the other because traffic can get a lil rough. My favorite area is Amagansett and we’re lucky to get to stay with some lovely friends out there. It’s quaint, charming and extremely chic. So here’s a lil breakdown of what we got up to!
As I mentioned in an earlier newsletter, the best food comes from the farm stands. The produce is so beautiful and inspiring for easy summer lunches and dinners. Some of my faves are Amber Waves, Balsam Farms, and The Green Thumb. Many of them have their own snacks, and I highly recommend grabbing a pint of curried chicken salad. For breakfast, I like going to Carissa’s. It’s a scene but it’s chic and delicious and they have great croissants, arnold palmers, and cakes (a newfound passion of mine). For coffee or tea, Il Buco and S&S are both great and chill. Most of our lunches were usually farm stand fare or something easy at home. We did a fun lunch out by the water at Duryea’s in Montauk. It’s pretty picturesque and feels like a classic ‘Hamptons’ experience. Of course we got the lobster cobb plus a couple lobster rolls to share. If I wasn’t pregnant, a bottle of rosé would be the obvious pairing. For dinner, if you’re not cooking, sit at the bar at Il Buco al Mare and share a pasta and a crudo. I also loved a super chill bite at Doubles, located in Amagansett and Sag Harbor. It’s Caribbean food like curries, rice and fish plus they’re said to have an amazing burger. And for an easy takeaway night, we ordered Fini Pizza! My favorite meals were cooked at home: stone fruit and tomato salad with burrata, steaks with chimichurri, a delightful aged cheddar from Cavaniola’s made a little apero board transcendant!

We kept the activities pretty light and easy. Hanging by the pool, catching up with all our NY friends, cooking and walking to the beach! I managed to get out on a tennis court for the first time since being pregnant. It was sooo fun but sooo hot. I’m just starting to get some energy and hope to play a bit more before baby comes. We also popped into a few shops like The Row (highlight was the beach towels!), S&S (I got this cool t shirt) and Sagaponack General Store (sour gummies!).
Here’s what I wore!
Dress by Laneway the Label over my trusty Hunza G for a swim at the beach. This dress (nightgown?) has been a godsend, I just got it in light blue too. So comfortable and chic while pregnant or not. The Janessa Leone Felix never lets me down. Sunnies by Jimmy Fairly.
Sessei from head to toe. If you’re not familiar with this Parisian brand, what are you waiting for? The most elegant shirts, pants and t-shirts. If you speak (read) French, you can check out my lil Hampton’s Guide I did for them here. Wearing their second skin t shirt and Lou pants with very subtle beige stripe. So chic. Again with Felix hat, Clare V basket (which now comes in a mini size! obsessed) and Haviana’s while picking out some produce!
Wow I am in love with this lace broderie top from Matteau. I would have gotten the dress version if I could fit in it too! These jeans have gotten me through my entire pregancy. Madewell, sized up 2x. You’re welcome. Same accessories as above plus my trusty glass water bottle. In love with this thang and it keeps me hydrated.
Figuring out swimwear while pregnant is interesting… the aforementioned Hunza G is great and so stretchy. I also loved this Matteau top and bottom in cassis print. The string tie is extra convenient and comfortable. Worn here with my fave Chan Luu necklace.
More Laneway, this time in the mini version at Duryea’s. Such a fab dress at an incredible pricepoint.
Sessei red shirt over my fave tank from J.Crew, Moussy jeans and Suzie Kondi terry sweatshirt!

Back in the city we stayed at Nine Orchard for a couple nights. I love staying in my old neighborhood and getting to go to my fave old haunts like Little Canal for TLT sandwiches. IYKYK! We also went to an amazing play off broadway called Prince F*****. It was absolutely incredible and everyone in the production should be a huge star. I also got to stop in and see my agency which was lovely!
Summer in the city on a rather warm evening, I wore Matteau’s perfect white dress with Alaia flats and Prada bag.
Best meal of the trip award goes to Mắm NYC. The most cool, unassuming spot on Forsyth in LES made it onto the NY Times 100 best restaurants in NYC with very good reason. We ordered wayyyy too much but the presentation was so beautiful, the flavors so complex, the service so friendly, it was just perfect. Go with a group and sit on little plastic stools outside and dig in! Also order the calamansi iced tea. Beyond.
That’s all from me for now! Til next time, you can find me on IG, shop my faves here and order Lorenza here!
